Annual Leave Guidance during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Branch News LAS News

LAS members will have seen the publication on Friday 8th May, by our People and Culture (P&C) colleagues, of the attached document answering some frequently asked questions on the subject of annual leave.

Our Branch officers had some discussions with our management prior to the publication of this document, on certain areas of the text however have been unable to reach agreement on the section related to the entitlement of LAS employees to carry over annual leave above the normal amounts and up to 20 days as described in The Working Time (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.

LAS UNISON Branch have represented to the LAS management, on behalf of UNISON members employed by the LAS, that we do not agree the stipulations applied in this document and that the LAS are not working in accordance to the aforementioned legislation, limiting the opportunity for our members entitlement to the measures in this Regulation.

We have further requested to meet the LAS P&C Director this coming week to resolve this issue and allow our members the full entitlement of this regulation amendment as in all other industries in the UK.

We will update you further when we have made progress on this issue.
