We are in an ongoing dispute with the government on NHS pay in England.press coverage today that the government has written to us with a formal invitation for negotiations on NHS pay. We still need to get clarity on a number of key points so we can understand whether this is a serious proposal. As it stands, we continue full preparations for our industrial action planned for Wednesday 8 March. Your branch will be keeping you informed on what those plans mean for you – and will let you know if anything changes, including about any decisions to pause the action Our lead committee, made up of NHS staff from across the country, will meet tomorrow (Friday) to consider the proposal in detail and make a series of decisions on what we do next. I know you will want as much detail as quickly as possible. I will write to you once those decisions have been taken, with as much information as I can. While we might not have much detail yet, if negotiations can begin and they lead to the government making a serious offer, we will consult all our NHS members on specific proposals. Thanks in advance for your patience. Sara Sara Gorton UNISON head of health
