NHS Pensions – What do the proposals mean to you?

UNISON has produced a “ready reckoner” to help you understand what the proposals for increased contributions to the NHS Pension Scheme would mean to your annual pay. To take a look at the reckoner, go to http://www.unison.org.uk/pensions/reckoner.asp (the page may take a few moments to load)

Last week, UNISON launched a survey of health members seeking your views of the proposed changes to the NHS Pension Scheme and your reactions to the proposed increases in the retirement age, increased contribution rates and reductions in the annual uplift to payments.

If you have not already done so, you can access this brief on-line survey by clicking on https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/GSWBGYN

The responses to this survey will form an important part in helping to shape the union’s strategy in defence of the NHS Pension Scheme. Therefore, we would be extremely grateful if you can take the time to fill in this survey, which should not take much more than five minutes to complete.

The deadline for the survey is Tuesday 27 September, so don’t miss out on having your say.
