New functional skills courses announced

FREE tuition and qualification for Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Mathematics

• This is available to any UNISON member who does not have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics and wants to enter any higher/degree education course, including Cumbria University. •Times - Sessions between 09.30 to 15.30. • Up to 6 hours per session, however if a learner only requires one subject, they need only attend one of the sessions. • Time scales - Up to a maximum of 45 hours teaching. • Sessions - Classroom based with a teacher for facilitating and assistance. Further learning is available using iPads. • Initial Assessment Classroom based to find initial level and future learning required. • 25 hours additional study leave can be claimed at end of the course. • LAS Unison pay for travel and lunch. • Dates - Starts 22nd of January 2025 for 18 weeks.
