Health & Safety Feedback

Spotted something that isn't safe? Tell us. Member feedback is how the branch's Health & Safety team learns about new risks and gets problems fixed — whether it's a fault with a vehicle or a piece of kit, a manual-handling concern, violence and aggression, or a problem with a station or its welfare facilities.

What to tell us

The more detail you can give, the more we can do with it. Where you can, include:

  • where — your station, site or vehicle call-sign;
  • what — what happened, or the risk you've spotted;
  • when — the date and time;
  • anything else — photos (only if it's safe to take them), and whether you've already reported it locally.

How your feedback is used

Reports come to the branch's Senior Sector Health & Safety Reps, who raise them with local management and, where needed, take them up with the Trust. We use what members tell us to spot patterns across the LAS and push for changes that make the job safer.

This does not replace the Trust's own incident reporting — if something needs to be formally recorded, please also report it through the LAS's official channels.

If there is an immediate risk to safety, act on it and report it straight away through your local management. This page is for raising and tracking concerns with the union, not for emergencies.

How to send it
